“Barbie GLAM SUPER STAR”
Unveiled last weekend at the 2018 Italain Doll Convention in Milan, here is the IDC EXTRA DOLL we designed and produced in limited edition of 150 pcs worldwide for the attendees….
Inspired to the convention theme “goes to Cartoonia”, she is a tribute to the 80’s & 90’s manga female superheroes, a mix of Creamy Mami, Sailormoon and many more, but with that special touch of the Superstar Barbie face mold. Based on a Totally Hair Barbie, she received a new hairstyle with 2 long ponytail and braids and a soft touch to her face paint, with soft freckles and eyeliner. Her short lycra black dress has been enriched with genuine crystal stones in various colours to match the “comics” printed satin train gown’s design. She wears black stocking and pink shoes with crystals embellishments and star crystal earrings. A mini replica of the IDC convention booklet and a mini-box created by talented paper artist, Rogier Corbeau complete the set. Photo credits by Ken Mad.
